Game #3 and we are done

Now that I am awake enough to think about the game last night I can say WOW!  With all of the yelling and screaming going on you really could not tell that we all loved the game. (Ha Ha)  (I myself included in a lot of the yelling)  I can't speak for everyone last night but it does not get any better than that.  Yes. We lost but it was a hard fought battle. I have never seen a group of young girls come together and fight for something that hard in my life.  We talked a lot about team work in practice but you really don't know if it sinks in until you get in a situation like last night.  These girls are some of the best I have seen.  Like I said earlier you fought a hard fight but you also lost to a very respectful team and coaches.   So congrats to Rabun County 7&8 Allstars.
So now back to our girls.  I want to thank you for all of the hard work you have done in the past three weeks.  You could not have made me any more proud of you.  Through all of the blood, sweat and tears you are all champions in my book.  Oh yea!  One other thing the past three games have been one of the best roller coster rides I have ever been on.
So hold your heads up high, take a little time off to relax and get ready to come out swinging next spring.

Love you all (stars)

Allstars Game #2

What a game!!!  We won, We lost, no We won.  In fact we lost.  It was the most unusual game I think I have ever seen.  So what if we lost out of the winners bracket we are still alive and the way I see it this could even come out to be sweeter.  The Habersham Girls can hold their heads up high they played hard today.  I am so proud of all of them.  Good luck tomorrow.  Just keep your head up and play with all your heart.

Flash Back

This is when I look back and find the true value in what I do.  I like everyone else can get caught up in everyday life.  I seem to forget the little things in life that make life so good.
I was going through some old files today and came across this little gem.  So I got to thinking about my job as a photographer.  Yes, I do what I do to make money to put food on the table but there is something bigger than money and that is love for family.  I don't just shoot for today I shoot for the future.  I hope the people I shoot for have the same feeling about the work I do for them as I do for myself ten to twenty years down the road.  That feeling you get when you look at a photograph of yourself or your children and a flood of memories come back to you.
Like the photograph of Adelaide and Harlie today.  When I saw this (for one thing I had forgot about it) but I remember them running around playing while I was doing a portrait session.  I also remember Adelaide falling into the creek right before I was done. etc etc.
So before I go I just want to say, enjoy today because time slips away before you know it.

Cairenn

What a cutie!  I photographed Cairenn last week but was so tied up with softball I did not have time to post anything.  So before the games start this week I wanted to show off a couple of my favs.  Hope you enjoy.
Oh yea.  The next game is Tuesday at 5:30.  I hope to have more photos and a win to talk about.

Habersham 7&8 All Stars Game #1

Well as I promised here is my sports report for game one.  It was HOT!!!  Very Very HOT.  On the other hand  it was an awesome game.  All of the hard work started to pay off today.  Habersham girls beat Franklin County by a score of 17 to 1 after 4.  I think I can speak for every parent out there by saying we are all so proud of you girls.  Let's just keep it going and bring home that trophy.  Good luck on Tuesday.  You know I will be around.  The umpires have to have someone to get on to during the game.

Fastpitch Softball Part Two

Well the spring season has been over for about two weeks now.  If you only knew what the past month has been like you would forgive me for the lack of blogs.  Adelaide has made Allstars for the 7&8 Girls Fast Pitch Softball.  (Yes! Of course I am proud of her.) but sometimes it can be rough been a former coaches daughter.  (Yes that is my fault.)  Anyway I just wanted to let you know that I am not dead just very busy.  It has been two weeks of practice every night.
It has now all come down to today.  The first round of games are today at 3:30pm.  So wish us luck.  I hope I will have some images of the games and scores sometime tonight.

Later,
Tom
