Flash Back

This is when I look back and find the true value in what I do.  I like everyone else can get caught up in everyday life.  I seem to forget the little things in life that make life so good.
I was going through some old files today and came across this little gem.  So I got to thinking about my job as a photographer.  Yes, I do what I do to make money to put food on the table but there is something bigger than money and that is love for family.  I don't just shoot for today I shoot for the future.  I hope the people I shoot for have the same feeling about the work I do for them as I do for myself ten to twenty years down the road.  That feeling you get when you look at a photograph of yourself or your children and a flood of memories come back to you.
Like the photograph of Adelaide and Harlie today.  When I saw this (for one thing I had forgot about it) but I remember them running around playing while I was doing a portrait session.  I also remember Adelaide falling into the creek right before I was done. etc etc.
So before I go I just want to say, enjoy today because time slips away before you know it.
